Fulfilling its commitment to assist indigenous peoples of Caraga in shaping their plans for a more sustainable future, Project Caraga through the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) has conducted the formulation and enhancement of the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP) in 11 Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) areas in the region. Other CADTs will also be assisted in their technical and financial requirements on their ADSDPPs in the coming weeks.
The ADSDPP is a crucial document in ensuring that the indigenous cultural communities will be able tosustainably manage, protect, and develop their ancestral lands.
Technical experts and community organizers from Project Caraga worked hand in hand with the team from NCIP and thesectoral representatives from the CADTs in this participatory process.+
