Caraga, Philippines – In a significant milestone
for sustainable development in Surigao Del Sur,
Project Caraga joined forces with the National
Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 13
(NCIP Caraga) for the signing of a Memorandum
of Agreement on January 15, 2024, at the Goldbar Hotel & Restaurant in Tandag City, Surigao Del Sur.
Project Caraga Helps Pave Ways
for a Better Future
Fulfilling its commitment to assist indigenous
peoples of Caraga in shaping their plans for
a more sustainable future, Project Caraga
through the National Commission on Indigenous
Peoples (NCIP) has conducted the formulation
and enhancement of the Ancestral Domain
Sustainable Development and Protection Plan
(ADSDPP) in 11 Certificate of Ancestral Domain
Title (CADT) areas in the region.
Project Caraga links with
Department of Agriculture
Long-term food security, sustained livelihood,
and increased economic activities in the
indigenous cultural communities are the driving
forces that fuel Project Caraga to push further
with its Sustainable Agriculture and
Agro-Forestry Initiatives.
